Dear Friends, Fans, Music Lovers, Bowlers, Strollers and Stalkers,

So glad to see you again. You're looking swell, have you lost some weight? I love that color on you!

Times are tough, no doubt, and apparently we are all going down with the ship, but all this endless chatter about the controversial economic stimulus package is what has really got me in a tizzy. It's got my knickers in a knot. It's got me giblets in a grinder. Got my hump all in a cluster. How am I to refrain from constantly creating inappropriate juxtapositions of the terms *stimulus* and *package* or variants thereof? You're drifting into my catch, oui? Stimulus package sounds like a euphemism for those supercharged electrical underpants they use to "encourage" cooperation from the residents down at the farm in Gitmo. Help me, Spock!

And now, some news.

~ After a year of great support from you folks and our pals at Compass Records and radio programmers across the country, our CD "LOADED" finished out the year at number 29 on the Americana Top 100 list for 2008! We're sandwiched right between Emmylou Harris and Carrie Rodriguez. That's one helluva sandwich. I sure picked the wrong year to stop eating wheat...

~ Coming soon to waybacks.com: SECRET STAGE MIXES!! Sometime around mid-2008 we got into the habit of recording all of our live shows right from the stage. We'll soon be making some of these recordings available as mp3 downloads right from our home page. It could be as soon as the next few days that we'll have SECRET STAGE MIXES page up and running. Stay tuned...

~ Our shoes are newly shined; our mustaches have been waxed. Our faithful pack mule has been greased, fleeced and checked for ticks. Our Show Day clothes are freshly creased and pressed and scented and sorted. Our packages have been stimulated. It's high time we hit the road. Do come and join us, won't you? Mark your calendars.
